Privacy Policy

When you book, we collect your name and either an email address or a mobile number — whichever you prefer to give us — along with the services you choose and anything you write in the notes.

If your service needs a consent form, that form collects your date of birth, address, health history, allergies, medications and your signature.

If you pay a deposit or buy a gift card, Stripe handles the payment. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number.

To book your appointment and hold your time; to send your confirmation, reminders, deposit link and consent form; to reschedule or cancel when plans change; and to answer you when you write to us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise to you anywhere else.

If you give us a mobile number and choose to receive texts, we may text you about your appointment: confirmations, reminders, deposit links and your consent form link. Message frequency varies by how often you book, and is typically no more than a few messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Stopping texts does not cancel your appointment — we will email or call you instead.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

If you send a photo through the chat on this site, or through WhatsApp or Messenger, it goes to Marilynn so she can answer you properly. Location and camera information is removed from photos when they reach us.

A photo you send is used only to answer your question. Your photos appear publicly only if you signed the photo release on your consent form.

A small number of services keep the studio running: Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Telnyx for text messages, Supabase for our booking records, and Meta for WhatsApp and Messenger conversations you start with us.

Each one receives only what it needs to do its part, and none of them receive your information for their own marketing.

This site uses only what it needs to work — remembering your language, and keeping the studio signed in to its own admin. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter to stop those emails; appointment emails continue, because they are how we tell you about a booking you made.

Write to Info@velvetprobeauty.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Signed consent forms and appointment records are kept while the studio and the law require them.
